Interface Engineer
ShopIgniter seeks a full-time, front-end web developer with a solid understanding of standards-compliant (X)HTML/CSS with the ability to quickly slice up and implement designs created in Photoshop or Illustrator. General knowledge of Adobe software is a must. Experience working with dynamically-driven content and manipulating the DOM with jQuery or javascript is a plus. An eye for aesthetics and design is appreciated.
You Will:
- Perform your tasks quickly and efficiently, meeting all deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
- Cross-browser test your code, support IE6.
- Accurately translate beautiful designs to the web, with pixel-perfect precision.
- Posses 4+ years of experience hand-coding websites.
- Be comfortable working on a Mac.
- Understand modern font/image replacement techniques.
You Won't:
- Ever use the words WYSIWYG or Comic Sans in a positive way.
- Code a site without giving consideration to text-resizing and other accessibility issues.
- Use tables to layout anything other than tabular data.
- Use a single unnecessary div, span, class, id... you get the idea.

Quality Assurance Engineer
ShopIgniter is seeking an experienced QA Engineer to help verify that the business vision has been turned into reality by validating that the sites and systems meet design specifications and requirements.. The ideal candidate is analytical, innovative, self-motivated, and willing to develop new skills while constantly improving existing abilities.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure high quality and timely release of features/products to market by working collaboratively with business teams to understand business needs.
- Review functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables.
- Identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements and design test coverage plan.
- Excellent testing and troubleshooting experience (functional, usability, regression, performance, exploratory)
- Develop, document and maintain functional test cases and all other test assets such as test data, data validation scripts and automated scripts.
- Execute and evaluate manual or automated test cases and report test results.
- Hold and facilitate test plan/case reviews with cross-functional team members.
- Participate in requirements and design reviews, and provide sound feedback.
- Identify any potential quality issues per defined process and escalate potential quality issues immediately to management.
- Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements.
- Isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes.
- Developing customer-facing documentation for our website on an as-needed basis.
Requirements:
- Create clear, concise detail oriented test plans/cases.
- Ability to provide accurate project/task effort estimates.
- Ability to work in a cohesive team environment.
- Ability to understand and create test plans from specifications or verbal communications.
- Agile experience, specifically Scrum.
- Sound judgment and clear, logical thinking is critical to success in this role.
- Liaison with development, project management, and customer support for test and QA related functions.
- Experience with PHP applications and Open Source technology.
- Ability to work autonomously in day-to-day testing of large scale web applications.
- Experience testing web applications using manual and automated test methodologies.
- Strong time management skills.
- Experience with MySQL databases.
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent writing skills. Most of your work will be written (email, documentation, etc.).
- Programming experience.
- BS or BA Degree preferred.
- 3+ years experience of relevant QA technical experience.
- 2+ years large enterprise or e-business systems experience.

Technical Support Engineer
ShopIgniter is looking for an experienced TECHNICAL SUPPORT ENGINEER who will help support our customer base. The ideal candidate is analytical, innovative, self-motivated, and willing to develop new skills while constantly improving existing abilities.
Responsibilities:
- Helping customers solve technical issues with our highly-configurable eCommerce SaaS product.
- Acts as first level escalation point for customers and internal escalations.
- Provide regular and consistent communication to customer on status of their escalation.
- Answering questions from customers and prospective customers about the features and capabilities of our software.
- Developing customer-facing documentation for our website on an as-needed basis.
- Communicating customer needs and wishes to our account management, development and engineering staff.
- Conduct regular reviews of cases & case management for continuous improvement.
Work is done primarily via email, with some phone and/or IM contact.
Requirements:
- Excellent understanding of the technical fundamentals of the Internet. You should have a solid knowledge of internet protocols such as SSH, FTP, SFTP & HTTP, as well as the ability to use diagnostic tools such as traceroute, ping, host and whois.
- Strong command line Linux skills. You should have setup and run your own Linux servers before.
- Excellent Windows, Mac & Linux troubleshooting ability.
- The ability to be a good listener, and to really understand a customer problem or question and help them solve it.
- Excellent writing skills. Most of your work will be written (email, documentation, etc.).
- Excellent telephone communication skills. Some support will be provided over the phone.
- 2-3 years previous experience in a technical support role.
